Wolf Tooth Elliptical Direct Mount Chainring - 40t SRAM Direct Mount 6mm Offset Drop-Stop Flattop Compatible BLK

Experience enhanced performance with the Wolf Tooth Elliptical Direct Mount Chainring - 40t SRAM Direct Mount 6mm Offset Drop-Stop Flattop Compatible Black. Expertly engineered to fit SRAM cranksets featuring removable spiders, this chainring’s innovative elliptical design offers a 10% ovality with a precise 112-degree timing after top dead center. This unique configuration delivers the proven benefits of oval chainrings—such as increased rear wheel traction—while minimizing the common drawbacks traditionally associated with oval shapes.

• Elliptical rings promote smoother and more efficient pedal strokes, translating into improved traction and power transfer
• Drop-Stop tooth profile ensures optimal chain retention and smooth shifting, specifically designed for 1x9, 1x10, 1x11, and 1x12-speed drivetrains
• Compatible with all 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains except Shimano 12-speed—those require Wolf Tooth’s Shimano 12-speed-specific chainrings
• For 9-speed drivetrains, pairing with a 10-speed chain is recommended to achieve a tighter fit and superior chain retention
• Not compatible with SRAM RED and Force AXS 8-bolt interfaces
• Constructed from durable 7075-T6 aluminum, ensuring long-lasting performance and lightweight strength
• Optimal performance is achieved when used in conjunction with a clutch-style rear derailleur, enhancing chain security on rough terrain
